Innovation in digital technology and entrepreneurship in Gabon has gained momentum in recent years. Young Gabonese do not only shine in negative business in view of recent news, but also in the creation of startups. This is how 10 young teams from the capital and provinces of GABON took part in the E-startup challenge competition.

Recall that the e-startup chalenge competition is a competition promoted by the Gabonese state and set up by the E-Gabon project. Started in September 2020, this competition brings together the most innovative projects of several startups. This competition was set up as part of the fight against unemployment, and with the aim of promoting digital technology in GABON. At the end of the first selection 8 startups stood out, and were selected to integrate and move on to the second stage of the project. Therefore, on January 15, the 8 startups joined a monitoring program in the premises of SING (Société d'Incubation Numérique du Gabon).
After their integration into SING programs, the 8 selected startups which are in the growing category will present the results of their last weeks of supervision by SING teams. A very important step halfway through their support called DEMO DAY.
For explanation, the DEMO DAY, is a day during which the 8 growing startups will perform in front of a jury the presentation of their various projects. Projects relating to e-health, e-commerce, and e-technology.
In view of the importance of the competition, SING was tasked with helping these startups with individual, technical and group support. These programs address themes such as the blue ocean strategy, the business model canvas, the empathy map and many other tools that startups have integrated into their projects.
Pushed beyond their comfort zones by the SING teams, halfway through their support; startups present their modified, improved projects. This is an opportunity for them to demonstrate that all his hours of training were not wasted.
After this first presentation, the startups will be able to see if they are ready for the final demonstration which will be held on March 27, 2021 in the premises of the SING with the balance of financial rewards of up to 28 million CFA francs.

Let's not forget that after the final of this competition, 5 of the best startups will be able to join the SING incubation program, and thus see its structuring completed; and see the dream of creating your startup come true. Knowing well that the creation of start-ups means jobs that are created and the youth unemployment rate is decreasing.
