On Friday, February 22, 2019 in Libreville, SING organized an information session on the TEF entrepreneurship program at its premises in partnership with UBA. During this afternoon, the public was able to learn more about the program through explanations, experience sharing and a question-and-answer session.
TEF Entrepreneurship Program is an initiative of the Tony Elumelu Foundation to support entrepreneurship in Africa. This is a 10-year commitment to identify, finance and train 10,000 African entrepreneurs or those residing in Africa. In 5 years, this program has already benefited 4,470 entrepreneurs across the continent and this year again, it will support a handful of project leaders with disruptive ideas, during this information session.
During this information session, all interested people were able to know in detail the conditions of admission. In particular, startups must be under the age of 3 and the offer must have strong growth potential. Also, Jeremie NZE BIANG, 2017 winner of the program and promoter of the Okouméa Gabon project, an ecotourism platform, shared his experience and encouraged the public to pursue his ambitions.
The reason why SING organized this information session on the TEF program, is because we are constantly looking for innovative financing solutions for Gabonese and African startups. In addition to our SING Capital offers, which include grants, equity and equity financing contracts, we are also expanding partnerships with other institutions to empower motivated entrepreneurs.
SING's team also presented the various financing options currently available to Gabonese start-ups and those best suited to the maturity of their projects.
